DRAKHAT believes that the biggest key to success is Education. We have always been involved with various awareness programs to engage the underprivileged and drive sustainable change.
Women & Child Development
We identify underprivileged children, encourage them for studies, and provide study materials. We also initiate vocational training programs for women and young girls with trades like cutting & tailoring, beauty culture, computer software, and spoken English.
Health Check-up Programs
We conduct healthcare education programs with the tribal from Kalahandi on malaria eradication, proper nutrition intake for pregnant women and growing young girls. We also organize free eye checkup camps for the locals.
Environmental Awareness
DRAKHAT facilitates natural resource dependent remote communities of Kalahandi, Odisha to manage environment in a sustainable manner, adopt resource efficient methods, and conserve endangered species through campaigns on Biodiversity.
Programs on Education
Education alone empowers an individual to earn his livelihood. DRAKHAT Volunteers impart basic education to the underprivileged children at various Sevashrams and Junior High Schools, creating the processes required for streamlining them to mainstream schools.
